Sally F. Goldfarb '82 was selected as one of the twenty honorees named by the American Bar Association Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence to receive one of its three major awards.

The University of Illinois has named Vikram David Amar ’88 as the next dean of the College of Law, pending approval from the University’s Board of Trustees at their July 15 meeting. Amar will assume the deanship, and also become the Iwan Foundation Professor of Law, on August 16.

The Executive Committee of the AALS Section on Clinical Legal Education is pleased to announce that Professor JoNel Newman, Professor of Clinical Education and Director of the Health Rights Clinic at the University of Miami School of Law, has been selected as the 2015 recipient of the AALS Section on Clinical Legal Education's M. Shanara Gilbert Award.

Sarah A.L. Merriam ’00, an Assistant Federal Defender, has been selected as a United States Magistrate Judge of the District Court for the District of Connecticut. She will be sworn in on April 3, 2015, and will hold court at the New Haven federal courthouse.
